99%. Gilded. appropriates self-portraits from the web taken in 2012 that served as testimonials for the 99% movement and Occupy Wall Street in the US. The rough application of gilds and foils to beatify these portraits was done as an essential counterpoint to the images of gold products marketed in our 21st-century 'Gilded Age of Trump’.
