"The most thoughtful and meaningful
site-specific display of artists' books
that I have ever seen."
My artist books published under the name of Dobbin Books communicate their content, not only through text & image but also through a thoughtful choice of structure & binding along with the material, which most often is the paper I create at Dobbin Mill. An artist book is the most articulate when every aspect of the book affirms or supports its ideas.
Robbin Ami Silverberg is an artist and founding director of Dobbin Mill, a hand-papermaking studio, and Dobbin Books, a collaborative artist book studio.
2020 is the 30th anniversary of Robbin Ami Silverberg’s artist book studio, Dobbin Books, housed at Dobbin Mews, an old horse stables in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. It will be an exciting year, with lots happening!
